No. Not all banks are connected to the tracking platform (SWIFT gpi). If the payment is forwarded to a bank that is not part of the network, the status “Cannot be tracked further” appears. You will not receive any further information or confirmation of crediting. Please note that SEPA payments are generally not trackable and domestic payments in CHF / EUR are only partially trackable.
We are not able to display the final bank in some cases due to technical limitations. This usually only happens with payments that have the status “Cannot be tracked further.” However, no information is lost, and you can be sure that we have forwarded the payment to the correct bank. This situation applies mainly to USD payments to non-gpi banks in the USA.
As long as there is a risk that UBS will not receive coverage, the status of the coverage will remain as “In process.” Only when the coverage is marked as “Done” will the credit on your account be final. If you are unsure whether the coverage has arrived, we recommend initiating an inquiry.
For the fee options SHA (shared fees) and BEN (all fees charged to the recipient), the banks in the payment chain can deduct their own fees directly from the transfer amount. This results in a lower amount being credited to the recipient. For technical reasons, the fee code may change during the payment process (this is prohibited for gpi banks; only non-gpi banks may change it during the payment process). UBS has no influence on changes to the fee code made by third-party banks. For individual USD payments to the USA, it is also not possible to display the original amount and the fees.
Your payment will be shown as pending if, for example, you missed the cutoff times, there are longer processing times or internal investigations, or if the bank is waiting for additional information. The payment will continue to be processed once all steps are completed. The payment will be rejected if, for example, you have entered inaccurate or incorrect information about the recipient and account number. The amount will be returned to your account.
A currency conversion can take place for different reasons. This usually happens because the recipient does not have an account in the payment currency. All gpi-participating banks in the payment chain will notify you if the currency is converted. This gives you full transparency about the exchange rate and the amount received by the recipient.
Your specified date can only be complied with if you execute the payment within the cutoff times and if the payment is processed by all participating banks within the stipulated timeframes. We always show you the latest value date reported by the banks. For detailed information about your payment, click on the “Start inquiry” button in E-Banking. An inquiry will be initiated and you will receive further information about your payment shortly. This service is subject to a fee.

The error message appears in the event of technical problems or when you try to track a payment to a bank that does not support tracking. This applies mainly to domestic payments to non-participating banks in CHF / EUR.
In some cases, banks need to conduct additional checks before a payment may be forwarded or credited. You can see the processing times for individual banks directly in E-Banking.
Unfortunately, tracking payments from a Gateway Account Germany is not possible for technical reasons.
